Cypress Coast Canine Care is seeking compassionate, reliable and highly motivated Pet Care Professionals who share our commitment to excellence and take genuine pride in the quality of their work.

Ideal candidates are proactive, resourceful and confident working independently, with sound judgment, exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to anticipate the needs of both pets and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide adventure walks and private dog walks

  • Perform drop in visits and daytime pet care

  • Assist with overnight, wedding and special event care

  • Provide feeding, potty breaks, enrichment and companionship

  • Safely handle and transport dogs, including multiple dogs when assigned

  • Deliver thoughtful client updates, photos and accurate service documentation

  • Follow individualized care instructions and established safety protocols

Schedule & Availability

Consistent, dependable availability is essential, with flexibility to accommodate varying client care needs. Some weekend and holiday availability is required.

This is a variable, part time position. Hours are not guaranteed and depend on client demand and business needs. Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to scheduled assignments are essential.

Service Area & Transportation

Our primary service areas include Monterey, Carmel, Carmel by the Sea, Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove, with occasional assignments in Seaside, Marina and Carmel Valley.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience caring for dogs of varying sizes, temperaments and energy levels

  • Confidence safely handling multiple dogs simultaneously

  • Understanding of canine behavior and body language

  • Compassionate, proactive and resourceful approach to pet care

  • Strong independence, reliability and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and professional written communication

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Safely walking and controlling multiple dogs in varying weather conditions

  • Extended walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds when required

  • Navigating trails, beaches, hills and uneven terrain

  • Handling leashes, harnesses, crates and pet care equipment

  • Cleaning up pet waste and working around urine, feces, vomit, saliva, fur, dander and claws

Additional Requirements

  • At least 18 years old

  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle

  • Smartphone capable of accessing company systems

  • Consistent availability and dependable attendance

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
